GeoCheck
GeoCheck is an Australian geological consulting company whose aim is to enhance the reliability of coal exploration from the time of data collection through to resource estimation.
It achieves this through combining its extensive professional experience with the latest technological innovations.
To this end, it provides both software tools in the form of its widely used LogCheck program for borehole logging and consulting services.
It currently has over 200 users at over 60 sites, chiefly in Australia, but also in Indonesia, Russia and Mongolia.
It complements geological database and modelling packages by providing a system:- with comprehensive validation facilities,
- which is extremely easy to learn with a user interface similar to other Windows programs such as Excel and thus easily picked up by short term geological contractors employed during drilling programs,
- does not tie up an expensive mining package licence for data entry,
- enables the plotting, in numerous different formats, of any of the data variables stored in it.
