With GeoCheck’s consulting staff and associates there is vast experience and extensive breadth within the business in the geological and mining consulting field.
This breadth includes but is not limited to:
- Safety systems associated with field exploration teams and early mine development.
- Any field work MUST be completed with SAFETY as the first consideration for staff and management. GeoCheck consultant staff have developed and operated detailed safety systems to allow the efficient operation of field activities.
- Geological Database system development, modification and improvement.
- GeoCheck use the LogCheck database system as their primary database system for subsequent check, validation and reporting of resources.
- Database work also includes the conversion of old data-sets into the industry accepted standard COALLOG format.
- Coal Exploration Program planning and development, execution and management.
- With detailed input from the client, exploration programs can be developed for long term goals and then managed for short term budget considerations
- Coal Quality planning, auditing and evaluation to allow resources to be correctly evaluated.
- As part of the above development of exploration programs, the coal quality database needs to capture data that will allow the best design of a CHPP to best exploit the coal resource in the ground.
- Modelling and reporting of coal resources compliant to various codes (Australasian JORC, Canadian NI43-101, RSA, Chinese and Mongolian standards),
- GeoCheck’s consultant team has completed an extensive number of JORC and NI43-101 resource reports but can also report these resources according to other standards as required by the client.
- Prior to joining GeoCheck most consultants have had extensive experience in reporting of coal resources for some of the larger groups as well as some of the new entries to the coal industry.
- Geostatistical analysis of geological and mining data to confirm confidence limits of quoted resources and reserves.
- Under the current Australian Coal Guidelines it is recommended that a detailed geostats study is used to confirm the confidence (or error percentage) within quoted reserves. GeoCheck consultant team has great depth in this field with some key staff with geostatistics background.
- Geotechnical design and implementation of programs for planning open cut and underground coal mining operations. Geotechnical evaluation of civil projects such as tunnelling and road design.
- For underground and open cut operations it is essential to understand the competence of the rock strata prior, during and post mining for the safety of people and the environment. Geocheck have access to some of the most experienced geotechnical geologists in this field.
- Due Diligence and audit of potential COAL and CSG projects.
- Prior to negotiation or purchase of new assets, GeoCheck are capable of completing timely and accurate audits and diligence reviews to give clients confidence in the technical aspects of their projects.
- Mentoring of professional teams to ensure that the right skill sets prevail in new, developing and existing projects.
- Competent person’s status is held by several of our GeoCheck staff, due to their experience within the coal industry over several decades of work within large and small businesses on many different coal projects and environments throughout the world.
